Jimmy Page It has been the subject of another demand for the songs of composition of the song “Dazed And Confused”.

The demand against the guitarist and composer has been presented once again by the musician Jake Holmeswho is said to write the original song that inspired the of Led Zeppelin.

In 2010, Holmes filed a claim for the violation of copyright against the guitarist, and the extrajudicial agreement turned out that the composition loans in the LED Zeppelin version were changed to “Inspired by Jake Holmes”.

It was not clear if the agreement also applied to the recordings shared by The Yardbirds, and now that several archive releases of the have been shared, the demand for Holmes has revived once more.

According to the new presentation (via Rolling Stone), Holmes states that he has not been granted or royalties for the versions of “Dazed and Confused” interpreted by The Yardbirds. Demand refers to the recently released Becoming Led Zeppelinin which the version of LED Zeppelin is accredited as “inspired by Jake Holmes”, while that of The Yardbirds only appears as “written by Jimmy Page.” He also cites Sony Pictures and the Warner Chappell musical publishing as defendants.

“The interpretation of ‘Dazed and confused’ of the Yardbirds in the film is an interpretation of the composition of Holmes”read in the file. “Therefore, the defendants have committed multiple acts of deliberate infraction by continuing to use the composition of Holmes without authorization and despite specifically knowing the rights of the plaintiff and their demand for cessation and .”
