The Colmenar Viejo Book Fair will open its doors this weekend in El Mirador Park with fantastic literature as a central axis and a program that includes storytelling, workshops, theater, concerts and signing of copies in the booths.
This has been transferred by the City Council in a statement, in which it has indicated that the time of the event will be from 17 to 21 hours, Friday, and from 10 am to 9 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The proposals will start this Friday, at 6 pm, with the storyteller ‘La Odyssea’, narrated by Héctor Urique. Later, at 9 pm, Urién will tell, young people and adults, ‘Don Juan Tenorio’.
The workshop ‘Crete. Create your fantastic creature ‘will open Saturday’s agenda, at 12 noon, with an activity in which children from 4 years can design and take home a marking.
In the afternoon, at 7:00 p.m., Endo Lindë will offer the public a musical journey through the Middle -earth of Jrr Tolkien with his theatrical concert ‘The secret fire’. The day will conclude at 20 hours with the street theater festival. On this occasion, the work of Clown ‘The Crazy Mozarts’, of the World Costrini company will be shared.
As for the booths, those of the municipal libraries and Cultural Center ‘Picasso’ will be installed, as well as those of the bookstores, which will apply a 10% discount on the sale of books. In addition, readers will have the opportunity to get a copy signed by the authors who visit the fair. All signature schedules can be consulted on the municipal website.
“This weekend we celebrate our book Fair, and we want to invite all the neighbors to approach, visit the booths and enjoy the activities we have scheduled for the whole family. This year, the central axis of our fair is the fantastic and wonderful literature, and it is a great opportunity to meet the authors and chat with them during the signing of specimens,” said the Councilor for Culture, Rocío Chamber.
