The fire Management Committee continues with its work, carrying out control actions in Lagunillas, Ciudad Valles and in two locations in El Naranjo, with support from the helicopter of the state government of San Luis Potosí and 44 brigades. Surveillance and extinction tasks are carried out more effectively, allowing a quick response.
In this regard, the Director of the State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC), Mauricio Ordaz Flores reported that, on the instructions of the state governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, he moved to Brigadistas to the municipality of Lagunillas to attend the fire that was activated this Tuesday in the Pinihuan community.
Ordaz Flores highlighted the coordination between the National Forestry Commission (CONAFOR), State Civil Protection, Municipal Civil Protection Directorates and volunteers in the work and called the potosinos to avoid bonfires and burns in times of risk, keep the environment clean, turn off the fires well, respect the restrictions and not smoking in forest areas to jointly protect the ecosystems.
