After attending the collapse of a section of Troncal 10, the Mayor’s Office of the Municipality Gran Sabana announced the partial restoration of vehicular traffic on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 7.
Mayor Manuel de Jesús Vallez reported through his social networks that they maintain contact with the corresponding agencies to fulfill the commitment to rehabilitate it “as it should be”.
-The collapse of the road, a few kilometers from the entrance of Santa Elena de Uairén, was given as a product of the heavy rains recorded during the last hours in the region.
Initially, Vallez asked the community not to use this road during the morning and afternoon, while developing the necessary work to restore their condition and rehabilitate the passage of vehicles.
As estimated, for the hours of the night it could already be transmitted again by this road arterial that communicates to Venezuela with Brazil.
“I want to thank all the support to our Armed Forces brothers, police agencies, our civil protection and private people who have supported us with their machinery, so that we can tell the people that the passage is open again,” said the mayor of Gran Sabana.
