The Civil Protection and Toluca Coordination from January to date has attended a total of 430 fires, 205 gas leaks, 62 trim descerams, 58 poles and fallen cables, 70 rescues of animals and 5 bailouts of people, among many other activities.

The Civil Protection and fire Coordinator of Toluca, Juan Carlos Yáñez Rodríguez, explained that factor 30-30-30, that is, high temperature, low humidity and wind bursts of more than 30 km/h, increase the risk of forest and urban fires, stressed that many of these can be prevented with the proper garbage disposal, responsible use of fire and respect and collaboration with the emergency units.
The 430 fires attended correspond to two fires in industries, 36 in home, 6 of commercial establishments, 303 grasslands, 14 vehicle fires, 3 accidents in industrial waste, 19 occurred in garbage dumps and 47 diverse fires 47 were diverse fires.
In the same period they attended 31 spills of products, 12 short circuits; In addition to the support they provided to other municipal demarcations to suffocate fires such as Xonacatlán, Zinacantepec, Almoloya de Juárez and Calimaya.

During his presentation, Yáñez Rodriguez called citizens to collaborate with the Civil Protection and Fire Coordination in order to prevent fires, act responsibly in the face of high temperatures and support emergency maneuvers.
For that first heat wave, of the four forecast for this season of Estiaje, Yáñez Rodríguez recommended to stay hydrated, fresh, wear light clothes of light colors, long sleeve, use blocker, wide -wing hat, look for the shadow, not perform physical activities between 11 and 17 hours a day, period when the effects of solar radiation feel the most.
