The jury has ruled that Diego Armando M., 37, is guilty of the murder of what had been his partner, Ivet C., 25, on March 21, 2021 in the neighborhood of the Clot in Barcelona. That day, a few days after a complaint for abuse, the man went to the mouth of the subway, took the son they had in common to school and shortly after they went to the house where the man resided, where he strangled her.

The defendant even recorded meetings that his partner had with a friend at his home or control his mobile phone and went much further when the victim began dating another person, waiting for him at the door of his house or his work.
The agents of the Mossos d’Esquadra who carried out the eye inspection at the defendant’s home, where the crime was committed, explained during one of the sessions that the woman carried with her the complaint for threat she had filed against him days before the crime.
During the instruction, the defendant declared to be a usual consumer of alcohol, cannabis and cocaine, although none of those substances at home was found. The defense considers that this consumption should be considered as mitigating because it would have influenced the crime commission.
