last Tuesday, May 6, the news of a shooting in the vicinity of the Campus of the University of Antioquia shuddered the inhabitants of Medellínmeanwhile, in the midst of the shots, two people were killed: A man, who was the direct victim of this armed attackand a woman belonging to the city’s urban cleaning service.
At first, all reflectors were put in the death of women, identified as Flor María Mosquera, who, as mentioned, was part of the ‘Escobitas’ of Emvarias. The woman received a bullet impact on the chest that cost her life on the site.
The murder of the plundering

Although the plundering explained that he had begun to work as an escort, they did not return the weapon.

The first happened on September 28, 2009, when they found him in neighborhoods United driving a motorcycle stolen on July 27, 2002 in the Belén Rosales neighborhood. The second record is of July 21, 2015, when he was captured in the Acevedo neighborhood for the crime of reception, after he was arrested mobilizing in a robbed car in the Guayabal neighborhood two years before.

And although the hypothesis that crime could be linked to the city’s criminal organizations, judicial documents would have revealed that the murder of Mazo would respond to an attempt to weaken a judicial investigation, in which the former uniformed would be a key witness.
Key witness?
Mazo would be one of the main witnesses presented by the Attorney General’s Office In a case of police corruption starring five uniformed assigned to the group against Sijin robberies.
The events occurred in July 2024, when The mayor Juan Francisco Mancilla Barbosa, the subintendents Carlos Andrés Jiménez Noguera and Cristian David Valencia Valencia and the patrolmen Thyana Karina Rodríguez Melo and Jeisson Fernando Rolón Sepúlveda They were presented on a property of the municipality of Girardota, with a false search warrant.
