The Municipal Board of Trustees, Autonomous Agency of the City Council of Alicante, has received this Thursday in Barcelona, in the framework of the eleventh AVS 2025 awards to the good practices of public housing and land managers ”, the AVS award for Avs in the field of administration and management of the housing park for“ the challenge of improving the management and administration of a housing park in constant change ”.
This national award to the City Council of Alicante, for the good management and administration of the Public Housing Park, has been collected by the Councilor for Housing and responsible for the Municipal Board of Trustees of the Housing, Carlos de Juan, by the hand of Pilar Aguerri, director of the Social Management Area and Rentals of the Municipal Society Zaragoza Housing and coordinator of the Social Group of AVS, in a day of recognition to the quality of the public service this Thursday.
These awards reward best practices in favor of social housing and their administration and management of public housing parks, the building of new construction, environmental management in the field of housing, rehabilitation of buildings, urban revitalization, better instrumental management of public services, social innovation related to people and architecture (Toni Sorolla Award) and the prize to the NextGenneration programs Housing needs and facilitating their access to all people who need it, with special attention to groups with greater difficulties in accessing the real estate market.
Carlos de Juan explains that “the action presented by the Board of Trustees is based on a new work methodology, placing in the center of the management at the Census service, which permanently updates the data through visits to the houses of the park, allowing to put in common with all aspects related to the park and the lessee. From this joint analysis, each department of the Board of Trustees defines its performances in a common way. dimensions ”.

Housing Municipal Park
The Board of Trustees, is an autonomous agency of the City Council of Alicante, founded in 1981, and that manages and manages a total of 746 homes of its ownership, as well as their respective communities, 64 commercial premises and 505 parking spaces.
The Housing Park of the Patronage of the Housing is composed of 746 homes and physically distributed in complete buildings and those called “extended” homes, which are located in buildings of private ownership by different neighborhoods of the city. It also manages 510 homes of private owners within the framework of the affordable rental program.
Regarding the new incorporations of the Housing Park, currently 15 homes for rent for young people in the old town are being built, and the new construction works of 32 homes for young people for rent on Ceuta Street, and the rehabilitation works of the building of 14 energetically efficient housing in the San Gabriel neighborhood of Alicante, bound for young people within the municipal program of Emancipation for young people.
