The head of the state Forestry Commission (Coesfo), Magdalena Coello Castillo, said that three forest fires in different points of Tepememe Villa de Morelos remain active, and due to the conditions to access the places the work of the federal and state brigades to the fight of fire is complicated.
“It is a fire complex, the first fire began in Cerro Plum Two Conafor brigades accompanied by some community members and another fire came out in the place El Sotol and the fire is between Tepememe and Ixcatlán limits, ”he explained.
Coello Castillo, said that these fires are added one more in Santa María Ixcatlán in the Sierra de Flores Magón region attended by Enoros and the brigades of the Coesfo de San Francisco Yosocuta and San Juan de los Cuers.
“There is the support of the state government team that due to the remoteness of the places are entering the combatants via air (MI), led by Coesfo, Conafor and Conanp, ”he said.
The director of the Coesfo, said that forest fires were caused by the lightning and complicated to access the places, the brigades of the federal and state governments, face the fire and are expected to join helicopters of the Mexican army to liquidate the fires located within the Tehuacán-Cuicatlán Biosphere Reserve.
