Have you seen the 7th season of ‘Black Mirror’? If so, we are sure that you will end up downloading this Netflix game. But if not, you should know that this article contains spoilers of the episode “plaything” of the seventh season (7×04).
“Plaything” is one of the best episodes in the entire history of Black Mirror. Maybe the best? Nah, we probably leave that to the legendary episode “San Junipero” or “nosedive” – yes, the episode of the likes–. But “Plaything” has many elements that make it a real masterpiece.

First, “Plaything” does one of the things that ‘Black Mirror’ almost never does. It contains references to another episode or, rather, to a Netflix movie. ‘Black Mirror’ is an anthological series, that is, each of its episodes tells a different story. But this specific episode, as with the 7×06 episode (“USS Callister: into infinity”), is a kind of spinoff of ‘Black Mirror: Bandersnatch’an interactive film with several finals.
