Apple is working on new processors that will boost future devices with artificial intelligence (AI), such as Mac computers, servers and smart glasses with which it seeks to compete in the market with goal.
The Cupertino company hopes to start the mass production of its new processor for smart glasses at the end of next year or early 2027, which will be in charge of Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing co, as they have shared knowledgeable sources of this matter with the journalist of Bloomberg Mark Gurman.
It is an element that has designed an example of the chip integrated in the Apple Watch, since it requires less energy. It will also be personalized to improve energy efficiency and so that you can control multiple cameras, elements that will be present in smart glasses.
Given the deadlines, this new device would reach the market in a couple of years. It will be an Intelligent Apple device, that is, endowed with generative functions, which the company already develops with the name N50, as Gurman anticipated at the end of April.
-Although this new device will be similar to the Ray-Ban Meta, it has also been reported that Apple worked in an augmented reality model, which finally filed last year “due to technical difficulties.”
Gurman, however, points out that Apple has not ended with augmented reality, and that both visions under the N401 code name, which includes the N50 model.
The new Apple processors, on the other hand, will also boost new more powerful Mac computers. Currently, and as reported from Bloomberg, he is working in M6, known internally as Komodo, and M7, Borneo, as well as another more advanced called Sotra.
The works also include dedicated processors for servers that support the Apple Intelligence system. The project takes place under the name of Baltra, and will be more powerful than the ultra chip, to the point that Apple considers to design them with up to eight times more processing and graphics nuclei.
