Inhabitants of the municipality of Coyomaapan demonstrated this Friday at the State Congress, they demand justice for the murders of activist Sergio Cruz Nieto this year, as well as the homicides of Omar, Marcelo and Teófilo, which occurred on May 9, 2022.
The settlers held Araceli and David Celestino Rosas as alleged intellectual authors of Cruz Nieto’s homicide, which occurred earlier this year in Tehuacán.
They demand that from the Legislative Power audits to fifteen years of municipal governments headed by members of the Celestine family in that municipality of the Sierra Negra.
Xóchitl Martínez Zárate, the victim’s widow, said there are evidence against those indicated by the death of her husband and human rights defender.
The dissatisfied tarps with messages addressed to the governor of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta Mier, whom they requested support.
The inhabitants of the indigenous municipality demand a political trial against local deputy Aracely Celestino Rosas, a member of the Caciquil family responsible for the death of indigenous people in Coyomeapan.
They were later received in the Ministry of the Interior.
