Hugo Quinto Huamán, former candidate for the Regional Government of Puno, warned that the insecurity in San Román grows without control and questioned the lack of planning and response of Governor Richard Hancco and Mayor Óscar Oscar Cáceres.
Fifth Huamán described the situation in Juliaca as criticism and pointed out that crime affects the entire region, generating citizen protests that demand immediate solutions.
The former candidate said that Juliaca has become a “red point” where even police are being pointed out in criminal acts, which increases the concern of the population.

Fifth Huamán asked Interior Minister and the president to send a special delegation to address the emergency and strengthen security in the province.
The former candidate highlighted the lack of dialogue between local authorities and the Police, which makes it difficult to face crime.
Finally, fifth Huamán warned that inaction could lead to the population taking justice by their hand, and asked the rulers to act promptly to avoid serious consequences.
