San Diego, California, April 27, 2025.- Rodney Scott is the main candidate of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to direct the Office of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), however, he still continues under investigation after the death of a man who was in the process of deportation in 2010.
Scott is involved in the death of Anastasio Hernández Rojas, who lost his life after border agents hit him and applied electric shocks, which after his arrival to a hospital was notified that he no longer presented vital signs.
The candidate to direct the CBP served as an interim submEfe of the border patrol of the San Diego sector at the time the incident was recorded.
After the case was revealed, the members of the same corporation were responsible for investing the fact, however, there is a belief that the same elements could manipulate the evidence or evidence that indicated that they used excessive force against Hernández Rojas.
Authorities have expressed concern about Scott’s candidacy to direct the CBP, so they asked the Department of National Security for the documents of the death of the migrant.
