Huaujuapan de León, Oax. May 6. A group of people said Monday at the corridor of the Municipal Palace of Huajuapan de León, to demand the release of doctor Edwin SM, who is in prison for the alleged crime of preservation of indications and evidence at the scene of the events and cover -up, derived from the investigations for the femicide of Hana Ali RS, committed on April 24 in Huajuapan de León.
One of the protesters, who omitted his name for fear of reprisals, shared that they went with cards to release the doctor.
“We want them to pay attention to us, that they have already grabbed the culprit to do their job. We come peacefully, we do not offend anyone, we just want freedom and it is the only thing we want for our doctor,” he said.
He said that patients from the doctor participated in the protest, domiciled at El Carmen Agency, San Rafael and Alma Mixteca colonies, among others, Huajuapan de León settlements.
-He assured that the doctor provided medical attention to the homes, which sometimes did it for free and gave the medication, because the patient or family lacked resources, but in others, then he received the payment.
“What we ask is that they leave us freely, for the support it gives us, but to all. It is not a threat, but we have protested peacefully, then if they ignore us, we will take other measures, it is not a threat, but if we want justice for him,” he said.
He said that the doctor Edwin is loved by the work he did, in addition to the fact that the Attorney General of the State of Oaxaca should re -verify the information he investigated, because it could be false of the crime they accuse him.
