A man, with mental problems, broke into Wednesday, April 23 at the facilities of the Animal Refuge in San Antonio del Táchira, in the Bolívar border municipality, and destroyed part of the facilities.
This was denounced by Juan Mazo, vice president of the Foundation Rescuing Footprints, in charge of the shelter, specifying that the violent act appeared at the hours of attending the call of the community for the rescue of an animal (goat).

«The community indicated that a man, with mental problems, had the animal in not adequate conditions. Upon arriving at the site, he was not, but his brother, who agreed to deliver it ».
At the time, the animal owner arrived at the shelter and violated the facilities, destroying part of the office and the area where they serve the sick hairy. Mazo asked the competent authorities to act in the face of this situation.

“We reiterate the call to the authorities, because we fear our integrity,” he said in the company of the volunteers and members of the Foundation.
He recalled that the man, who has presented other episodes of border violence, also tried to burn one of the motorcycles and assault the personnel who were at that time in the facilities.
