The violence was again in the Pyritu municipality, specifically in the “Machype” sector of the road to San José de la Costa, in Falcón, leaving a tragic balance of two deceased and two wounded after a violent confrontation between rival bands that occurred on Monday morning, May 5.
The younger fatal victim was identified as Matías Alexander Lugo Sánchez, only 13 years old. The teenager was admitted without vital signs to the emergency of the Doctor Alfredo Van Grieken de Choir hospital in the afternoon, presenting a gunshot wound in the head that segated his life.
In the same event, Frank Manuel Chirino Ramones, 21 years old, also lost his life. Both deceased were residents of the San José de la Costa sector.
In addition to the deaths, the confrontation left two people injured. Alexander Lugo Sánchez, 33, and father of the deceased minor, resulted in gunshot wounds in both buttocks.
-The other injured person is Juan Carlos Salas, 17, who suffered a severe cranial trauma. Both injured also reside in the San José de la Costa area.
According to unofficial sources, the violent clash occurred around 11:00 in the morning and was starring bands operating in the San José de la Costa sector. The police authorities are investigating the details of this bloody event to determine the responsibilities and take the culprits before justice.
The news of the death of the adolescent and the young man has generated dismay and alarm among the inhabitants of San José de la Costa, who cry out for greater security and the cessation of violence that plagues the community.
