Golden Boy Promotions, promoter of the Mexican boxer Jaime Munguiarevealed the musical group with which the man born in Tijuana, Baja California will walk to the ring at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 4 for his fight against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
Through a graphic and a brief description, the promoter announced that it is the Mexican group reikmade up of vocalist Jesús Navarro, and guitarists Julio Ramírez and Bibi Marín.
“Don’t miss the exclusive presentation of Reik, a Mexican trio winner of several Latin Grammys, who will accompany Jaime Munguía to the ring in the fight on May 4,” reads the Instagram post.
The news generated all kinds of adverse comments from fans, who expressed that it would have been better to have the support of some regional Mexican group for a special fight against a compatriot and champion such as ‘Canelo’ Álvarez.
Some other fans pointed out in the publication that it is a support between countrymen, since both Jaime Munguía and Reik are from the State of Baja California.
Jaime Munguía and ‘Canelo’ Álvarez will face each other next Saturday, May 4 in Las Vegas, and it will be the one born in Guadalajara who will expose his four world super middleweight belts to a compatriot after 7 years.
