Belgrano and a May full of games on two fronts

This Saturday the Belgrano team returns to training after a couple of days of rest after beating Real Tomayapo 2 to 0 in Bolivia for the third round of the Copa Sudamericana in Group C.

The break is ideal to recharge batteries for a month of May that will be full of commitments and that will have the Celestes playing the last three dates of the Cup and the first three of the League tournament. In June there will be two more matches of the domestic competition, just before the competition stops for the Copa América dispute in the United States that will start on June 20.

With several injuries and performances below expectations, coach Juan Cruz Real knows that they will be more than important games on both fronts, because the general objective is to achieve a pass to an international tournament by 2025, something that appears very complicated numerically, because the poor harvest in the League Cup, just 14 points, forces them to a great tournament to achieve what they wanted.

Then at the international level, the idea is to get into the next phase of the Sudamericana. For which they will have to adjust their sights as a local, because they have two games that can define their continuity or not in the competition.

Adjusted agenda

Eliminated from the Argentine Cup and the League Cup, the Pirate will have 13 days to prepare for the first match in May, but the agenda will automatically begin to put matches in a row.

In the Sudamericana they will take the stage on Thursday, May 9 at 7 p.m. at the Kempes against Delfín from Ecuador for the fourth date of the tournament. The visiting team comes to this match with 4 units, one less than the Celeste, so a Pirate victory would put them in the best of positions to keep one of the two tickets to the next phase.

After that match, on the weekend of the 12th, the League tournament will get underway and on that first day the Real team will have to face Racing Club at the Gigante de Alberdi, exactly the same rival as on the last date of the Cup that defeated them 4 to 0.

Once again the international competition will take place on Wednesday the 15th and it will be for the fifth date of Group C against Real Tomayapo at 7 p.m. at the Kempes.

On the weekend of the 19th he will be visiting River for the second date of the tournament and after that match he will have a week to prepare for what is coming, because he will play on May 26 against Central Córdoba at the Gigante for the third of the local tournament .

On Tuesday, May 28 at 9:30 p.m. in Porto Alegre, they will face Internazional at the close of the group stage (date six) and in a match that will have a special value in continuity in the Cup. This will be the sixth match in three weeks of the month.

To complete, on June 2 they will be playing the fourth date of the LPF tournament against Argentinos Juniors at home and will close this part of the year on Wednesday, June 12 against Tigre as a visitor.
