Colo Colo experienced an important leadership change with the return of Aníbal Mosa to the presidency. The man from Puertomont was once again the highest Alba authority on the way to the centenary, putting an end to two years of Alfredo Stöhwing’s management.

One who received this news with joy was Gustavo Quinteros. The former Albo coach, today in Vélez Sarsfield in Argentina, valued the return of the Puertomontino, making it clear that with him the Cacique will seriously strengthen itself.

In a conversation with LUN, the man from Santa Fe declared that “I am happy for the return of Aníbal Mosa to the presidency. “I am happy because Mosa does want to strengthen Colo Colo to compete at the international level.”

In that sense, pointing to the differences in Stöhwing’s management, the champion with the whites in 2022 declared that “the evidence is clear. That’s why I wasn’t interested in renewing my contract.”

“I’m going to tell you the truth about this: my sporting project was to strengthen the squad with the aim of trying to return the club to compete in the Copa Libertadores this year, something that has not happened for 16 years,” he added.

To close, Quinteros said that “Mosa was president of the club in 2018 when it reached the quarterfinals in the Cup. He does understand the needs and objectives that a club like Colo Colo must have.”

When does Colo Colo play again?

Cacique’s next game will be against La Calera today, Sunday, April 28, starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Monumental Stadium. The cement workers have just lost 1-0 against Everton and are second to last with six points in the local tournament.
