The squad and coaching staff of the Inter celebrated the 23/24 Scudetto title in the streets of Milan. There was a lot of emotion among the players, riding in a convertible bus. The party started at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, after the 2-0 defeat to Torino, and continued along the main arteries until reaching the Duomo, the city’s emblematic square, which was packed and where there were blue and black fireworks by the typhosi.

Captain, Lautaro Martínez, was a virtual conductor on the bus. Very excited, he grabbed the microphone to sing the songs, and also raised a flag with his image and two stars, because it is the second Serie A title that he has won with the Nerazzurro (20/21 the previous one).

Another of the entertainers of the celebrations was the Austrian striker Marko Arnautovic, who repeated his role from May 2010, when he was part of the squad that won the treble under the command of Portuguese coach José Mourinho. Pupi Zanetti, Walter Samuel and Diego Milito stood out on that team.

On top of the bus, the soccer players continued singing and drinking beers. Other very exultant footballers were the defender Federico Dimarco, his Dutch colleague Denzel Dumfries and the midfielder Nicoló Barella, who encouraged the “tifosi” through the microphone singing “the leader is leaving” and “the champions of Italy are us.”

Zanetti, current vice president, was also very moved. “They always make me excited. We are a great family, we had a great championship. I think the coach, the coaching staff and the players wrote one of the most important pages in Inter’s history.”

Excessive and provocative celebration

Dumfries had a glut during the party. They handed him a banner with an image of him leading a dog on the leash with the face of Theo Hernandez, a Frenchman from Milan, the classic rival. This is a consequence of several clashes they had during more than one Madonnina derby. In the last one, in April, when Inter won 1-0, both were sent off in stoppage time.

Of course, the controversy remained, as did the criticism of the Dutchman for his attitude.
