Millonarios and Junior led to one of the best matches of this first home run date, where the Barranquilla team won the 2-1 victory against the ambassadors for the first date of Group A.

However, and just as happened in the All against All, the match between sharks and ambassadors was put into controversy after several players from the Bogotá team had an altercation at the end of the match with several police officers and with the judge of the match, Carlos Betancur , after the defeat.

This was how the Dimayor in resolution number 36 of the first semester of the BetPlay 2024-I League, where the highest soccer entity in Colombia sanctioned the Millonarios players: Álvaro Montero, Leonardo Castro, Juan Pablo Vargas, and Daniel Ruiz with a financial sum of 1,300,000 pesos for having failed to comply with article 68 of the FCF Single Disciplinary Code.

According to this article, the reason why the Millonarios players failed to comply was because “the players who surround the referee collectively to protest his decisions will be fined one (1) legal monthly minimum wage in force.” at the time of the violation.”

In this way, the aforementioned players will only have this financial sanction, and it will not affect their participation in the remainder of the semifinal home runs.
