Colo Colo’s young football continues to gain experiences at the international level and, in 2024, it will once again be part of the Canteras de América tournament that is organized in Argentina.

After a successful presentation in the Xérem Cup, young football from Colo Colo will once again have international participation. This time, The sub 18 was included among the participants who will face each other in the Canteras de América tournament organized by Newell’s Old Boys in the city of Rosario, Argentina.
The team, led by Rubén Bascuñán, will seek to improve the Cacique’s last participation in this competition that includes great South American powers and even some national teams. The tournament will take place at the Jorge Griffa Center in Rosario starting on May 13 and will continue until the 18th of the same month.
Of course, the logistics for the Cacique will be somewhat complicated, is that the trip to Rosario territory, which is scheduled for this Sunday, May 12, will be made by bus. Thus, the team must make a journey that lasts approximately 20 hours.

How did Colo Colo do in the last participation in the Canteras de América?
The Chilean cast already has participation in this prestigious international tournament, although in the last edition, it did not have the expected results. In 2023, Popular shared a group with Talleres de Córdoba, Gremio and the Panama team. After their matches, the white team finished last in the table with only one point.
In that edition, the group that was directed by Carlos Acuña, They achieved their only unit by drawing without goals against Talleres on the second date of their group. At the beginning, they lost to the Panamanians 4 to 0 and, against the Brazilians, they lost 4 to 1.
