The Bulgarian achieved end-to-end success in Monaco. The Colombian only advanced due to withdrawals and finished 18th.

Boring and soporific. This was the Formula 3 sprint race in Monaco, the fourth date on the calendar. In short, something normal. The spectacle in the principality is usually in the surroundings, with the yachts, the glamor and the history that each competition has in urban Monegasque. But of passing cars, little or nothing. So, Nikola Tsolov stayed wire-to-wire with the competition to be the first Bulgarian to win in the category.

The only moment of emotion that the race had was on the first lap, due to a crash. Also something logical in Monaco. There were six cars that were practically parked parallel to the curb and everything had to stop with a red flag because the cars could not be removed. The images of the track attendants, kicking the ailerons to try to unhook the cars, sparked some laughter. Not for the teams that saw the mistreatment of their machines, of course.

Tsolov controlled the competition and took the victory, to the joy of Fernando Alonso, pilot who manages the Bulgarian’s career from his position as manager.

Sebastián Montoya was far away. When you qualify poorly on any track, the task of closing the weekend well becomes difficult. And if it happens in Monaco… Juan Pablo’s son started 24th and arrived 18th, favored by desertions. It can not be passed. The Colombian will start from the same place in this Sunday’s race to close a complex event.
