As part of PRISA Media’s special coverage for the Euro Cup, the Sunday paper editions of AS and EL PAÍS can be purchased together for four euros. The promotion, which includes magazines and supplements, will be available on newsstands during the five Sundays that the competition covers, from June 16 to July 14.
PRISA Media has prepared a great display to broadcast the Euro Cup. Eight professionals (six editors and two photojournalists) will make up the AS team. Apart from the newspaper’s headline columnists, the analysis of everything that happens in the tournament will be carried out by Alfredo Relaño, Santiago Segurola and Axel Torres. In addition, the newspaper will launch a complete preview both on paper and on digital and social networks so that fans have all the information about the different teams before the start of the Euro Cup.
EL PAÍS will have four special envoys in Germany: David Alvarezwho will be the chronicler of Spain and coverage of the rival teams; Juan Irigoyen, in charge of day-to-day interviews and reports from Spain; and Diego Torres and Ladislao Moñino, with a focus on the German, French and English teams. The world champions Jorge Valdano and Philipp Lahm They will analyze what happens on the pitch, whilee Manuel Jabois and Rafa Cabeleira They will sign the opinion columns, printing their special journalistic style. The newspaper will publish between eight and twelve pages a day about the competition in its printed edition and will send a daily newsletter to its subscribers.
Both newspapers have also joined the audiovisual coverage of PRISA Media: Universo Euro. More than 30 professionals from PRISA Media will travel to Germany to bring the excitement of the competition to every home through the websites and YouTube channels of AS, EL PAÍS, El HuffPost and SER, as well as its antenna.
