The multi-service entertainment, information and connectivity company announced the details of the broadcast, which will have 600 hours of special content to follow the Copa América and the Colombian soccer teamwhich is part of the 16 participating teams, including the 10 members of Conmebol and 6 guests from Concacaf. “DIRECTV, whose parent company is Vrio Corp., belonging to the Werthein Group, will be able to bring the most important sporting event of the year in Latin America to millions of homes and mobile devices in Latam, adding differential content,” highlighted Alejandro Nigro, Country Manager of DIRECTV Colombia.
DSPORTS, DIRECTV’s sports signal, will be the only one that will broadcast live all of the 32 matches that will be played with the Copa América. And, through DGO, all content can also be viewed from anywhere, using a computer, cell phone or other mobile device.
Daniel Llano, Director of Marketing at DIRECTV, highlighted that “DSPORTS will have the largest front-line Latin American journalistic team in the United States. “It will be the best coverage of the historic football event.” The contents will be transmitted on the DIRECTV satellite television service through the signals of DSPORTS (610 / 1610 HD), DSPORTS 2 (612 / 1612 HD) and DSPORTS + (613 / 1613 HD), and also by DGO, the exclusive streaming and live content platform. “Under the slogan #UnidosPorDirectv the company is deployed in Latin America, with all its potential to bring all the football of the Cup, because football unites us,” added Daniel Llano.
