José María López surprised everyone and everyone. He did it a few weeks ago, when his presence in the 24 Hours of Le Mans due to the loss of Mike Conway, and he did it again at the La Sarthe circuit. Due to a mistake by Kobayashi, his teammate in the #7 Toyota, he had been forced to start in last place in the Hypercars. But the Cordoba’s hierarchy, accompanied by that of the Japanese and De Vries, made them come back and fight for victory until the final seconds. Finally, it was a very celebrated 2nd place for Pechito.

The victory of Ferrari, which had celebrated its 2023 triumph as an F1 championship (no wonder) and once again climbed to the top of the podium with Nicklas Nielsen, Antonio Fuoco and Miguel Molina, it was not quiet at all. A problem with a door that forced him to stop and a flying Breast, which squeezed the Toyota beyond its possibilities – thus it came to eat the other red car, the #51-, they put their celebration at risk. However, nothing stopped the Italian family from celebrating.

The other Argentine who competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and who had experience winning them (in 2023, aboard a Chevrolet Corvette in the LMGTE Am category), was Nicolas Varrone. Riding an Oreca 07 Gibson, he came to lead the second line, the LMP2, and finished in the fourth position. Something notable is that both López and Varrone saw the checkered flag -they were the ones who drove in the last stint-.
