Bolivia announces its final call for the Copa América 2024 | TUDN National Team Bolivia

The Bolivian roster, released this Sunday by Conmebol, includes defenders Luis Haquín, from the Brazilian Atlético Ponte Preta, and Roberto Carlos Fernández, from the Russian Baltika Kaliningrad.

There are also midfielders Boris Céspedes, from Swiss Yverdon Sport; Jaume Cuéllar, from the Spanish Barcelona B; Gabriel Villamil, from Liga de Quito, and Miguel Terceros, from the Brazilian Santos.

Zago announced at the beginning of the month a list to begin preparation with 29 players, among whom was also defender Efraín Morales, from the American Atlanta United, who rejected the call.

In his place came centre-back César Romero from Blooming, who was left out of the final list as was defender Pablo Vaca, from Always Ready.

In the first week of training, defender Jairo Quinteros, from Bolívar, was also sidelined, who tore the Achilles tendon in his right leg.

The base of La Verde continues to be Bolívar, which contributes nine players, including the experienced goalkeeper Carlos Lampe, who will compete for ownership with Guillermo ‘Billy’ Viscarra, of The Strongest.

Blooming forward César Menacho will wear the number 9 that until some time ago belonged to the top scorer of the Bolivian national team, Marcelo Martins Moreno, now retired from football.

Zago’s Bolivia arrives at the continental tournament with three defeats in as many friendlies: they lost 1-0 against Mexico, 3-1 against Ecuador and finally 3-0 against Colombia this Sunday.
