Atlético Bucaramanga is experiencing the sweetest moment in its 75-year history. This Saturday, he was finally able to hang a star on his shield. After an emotional final, they defeated Santa Fe on penalty kicks.

For the first time, Dimayor gives money to the League champion
In addition to the bath of glory, what happened on Saturday in El Campín is a balm for Bucaramanga from an economic point of view, as it ensures several awards in the short and medium term.
The first thing: the club secured 500 thousand dollars that Conmebol gives to the champions of each local league of its affiliated countries. At today’s exchange rate, it is just over 2 billion Colombian pesos.
Bucaramanga also has an additional benefit: Starting this year, Dimayor gives a prize to the League champion, something that did not exist until 2023. So another billion pesos will enter the club’s accounts.
The money that Bucaramanga secures for playing the Libertadores
The star assures Bucaramanga of his return to the Copa Libertadores, a tournament in which he had only participated once, in 1998. That time he reached the round of 16.
The team already has at least three million dollars fixed, one for each home game it plays in the 2025 edition. That is, if the entity does not decide to increase the value, as has happened in recent years.
