Euro 2024: Belgium suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat against Slovakia
Belgium could not validate its candidate suit and lost 1-0 against Slovakia in a match corresponding to Group E. Romelu Lukaku had the best chances for the Belgian team and they even had two goals disallowed at the request of the VAR, one for offside and another for a hand at the beginning of the play. The only goal of the game was scored by Ivan Schran 7 minutes into the first half.

The world runners-up had to battle to win the first round of Group D. Maximilian Wöber, against, he scored the only goal of the game 38 minutes into the first half.
