Atlético Nacional continues to strengthen its team for the second half of the season. The recent officialization of David Ospina as the new goalkeeper adds to the notable additions of Edwin Cardona, Juan Manuel Zapata and Willian Tesillo. However, the club does not stop there and hopes to make two additional signings soon: Jorman Campuzano and Roger Martínez.

The agreement with Jorman Campuzano is practically closed, waiting to finalize some details. As for Roger Martínez, the negotiation is more complicated. Racing Club, his current team, requests between 500,000 and 700,000 dollars for his transfer, a high figure for Nacional’s current financial situation. However, the purslane board is willing to make a significant effort to ensure the arrival of the forward, who also has offers from other important clubs.

Once these two signings are confirmed, Nacional will focus on hiring two wingers. Among the options, Juan José Córdoba, from Deportivo Cali, stands out. The negotiation with the sugar club could involve compensation for the debt of $615,000 that Cali has with Nacional, allowing the green team to acquire 50% of Córdoba’s sports rights for approximately an additional $400,000.

In addition to Córdoba, Nacional is considering other possibilities to reinforce the bands. Among them is the return of Andrés Sarmiento, who already shared a dressing room with Edwin Cardona in América, and Dairon Asprilla, with whom conversations have already begun although nothing has yet been finalized. Interest has also been shown in Fáber Gil, Pereira’s skilled winger, with whom approaches have already begun.

At the same time, the team has defined the departure of six players of the thirteen who do not fit into coach Pablo Repetto’s plans. These players are Santiago Rojas, Edwin Torres, Agustín Álvarez, Eric Ramírez, Neyder Moreno and Carlos Sierra. In addition, they are close to reaching an agreement to terminate the contracts of Sergio Mosquera and Bernardo Espinosa.

The next few days will be decisive to finish forming the squad that will compete in the second semester. The Atlético Nacional board is committed to bringing joy to its fans, ensuring a competitive and talented team that can fight for titles and provide memorable shows.

The continuous effort to strengthen the squad and adjust the team to the coach’s needs reflects the club’s clear intention to be a protagonist in all competitions. The fans are looking forward to more positive news about the team, trusting that these movements will lead Nacional to regain prominence in Colombian and international football.
