Doges XV imposed conditions on the complement, defeated Pampas by 37-23 and is the new champion of the Super Rugby Americas. Thus, the whole of Córdoba extended his positive record against the people of Buenos Aires. I relived the game on Star+.
In 2024, before the final, the Argentine franchises faced each other twice and shared one victory per side, without being able to defend home team. Galatro’s team won in San Isidro by 18-14, on matchday four, and on matchday eleven, Leguizamón’s team won 37-15 in Córdoba. If we add the match that defined the SRA 2024 champion, the team based at Tala Rugby Club won two and lost one.
Last season, the Córdoba team won in their three appearances against the Buenos Aires team. In the regular phase they won 29-11 as a visitor and 34-29 at home. Then, in the semifinals, Dogos XV triumphed 27-16.
It should be noted that Pampas played 27 matches in the Super Rugby Americas and had 20 wins and seven losses, five of which were against those led by Nicolás Galatro.
