Without a doubt, the issue that is attracting all the attention of the cycling world these days is the physical condition of Jonas Vingegaard. That has led to many speculations, one of which talks about Matteo Jorgenson as leader of Visma.
The North American has had a great season and won Paris Nice or fought for Dauphiné, but from there to replicating that in a three-week round there is a huge distance. This is what he himself believes, as he was in charge of destroying the theories in his favor.
“They are crazy,” he replied on social networks, attacking an article from a Dutch media that positioned him as the boss of Visma and Vingegaard as gregarious. The Yankee accompanied his response with smiling emojis and the acronym WTF (what the hell, in English).
We will see if the answer is what he really thinks or if it is some kind of strategy to take off pressure or divert attention from himself.
