Colo Colo continues to move at a fairly slow pace in this mid-year transfer market, where in addition to having to look for reinforcements to strengthen Jorge Almirón’s team, it also has to come up with several key contract renewals.
We say this because 17 are the players whose contract ends in December, but in a few more days, from July 1, they can begin to negotiate as free footballers with other teams.
In that group is Leonardo Gil, who during this day gave a key pass in his career on a personal level, proudly sharing it on his Instagram.
Through a publication, the midfielder confirmed his contract renewal with the Nike brand, an American company that has provided him with his soccer shoes in recent times.
“Happy to continue belonging to the Nike family. Thank you for trusting me,” Colorado posted on his Instagram.
And the renewal with the Cacique?
Regarding the renewal with Colo Colo, Gil himself stated in May that “I am happy to be here. I will continue giving my all because it is my way of being, with my virtues and mistakes. I hope a renewal can be given and, if not, very grateful.”
“There are a few months left so first I think about the objectives and I hope we can achieve them. It could be my last year at the club and we have to go for everything,” the midfielder concluded.
When does Colo Colo play again?
Cacique’s next game will be against O’Higgins this Sunday, June 23, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the El Teniente Stadium in Rancagua. This match will be valid for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the south-central zone of the 2024 Chile Cup.
