Hundreds of Colombians gathered in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona, and together they sang the lyrics of the composer’s song Omar Geles, who died on May 21 in Valledupar.
Several videos were published through social networks in which fans can be seen with their yellow t-shirts, flags and happy to be able to support Colombia from the outskirts of the hotel where they are staying.
Internet users did not hesitate to comment on how proud they are to be Colombians: “When I get to heaven I will say thank you God for making me Colombian”, “Colombians are definitely the world’s ambassadors throughout the universe” and “That Copa América has to come to Colombia no matter what.”
