The Rosario Central campus began preparing for the second semester. After eleven days of well-deserved rest, the players started the preseason at the Arroyo Seco facility. Miguel Ángel Russo summoned 40 footballers for the arduous preparation work for the three competitions that Canalla will have in the second half of 2024.
El Canalla will have triple competition in the next semester: Copa Argentina, facing Barracas Central possibly on July 9; Copa Sudamericana, faces Inter de Porto Alegre on July 16 and 23; and Professional League, which action resumes on July 21.
The list of players includes two of the four professionals whose contract ends on the last day of this month: Axel Werner and Maximiliano Lovera; On the other hand, Dannovi Quiñones and Francis Mac Allister were not called up and as expected will not continue to be part of the Auriazul team. The club has already reported on social networks that both players will not be taken into account and will consequently return to their clubs of origin.
The last two Auriazule reinforcements are also called up, who have already played two games in the Professional League. Marco Ruben and Enzo Coppeti. Another novelty of the call is the summons of 6 youth players who will do the preseason with the professional team for the first time: Lucas Raffin, Samuel Beltrán, Tomás Salteño, Santiago Segovia, Gaspar Duarte and Thiago Ponce.
On the other hand, on the list of 40 there are four players who will work part or all of the preseason in a different way due to different physical problems, such as Damián Martínez, Facundo Mallo, Agustín Bravo and Tomas O’Connor. But not so for the Uruguayan Abel Hernández, who is recovering from an operation and the Auriauzl leadership will make a decision later on his continuity since he has a contract until the end of the year.

The six who had their first time
Central marker Luca Raffin, 18 years old (1/13/2006), played 6 games in reserve. The central midfielder Samuel Beltrán, 20 years old (5/4/2004), who has 15 games in the reserve. Another of those who will do the preseason for the first time with the first is Tomás Salteño. The mixed midfielder is 18 years old (7/22/2005) and has 6 games in the reserve division to his credit. The youngest of those mentioned by Russo is Santiago Segovia. This 17-year-old hitter (3/23/2007) played 5 games in the team led by Matías Lequi. The two forwards who will work with the professional team are: Gaspar Duarte (21 years old (6/1/2003) and 13 games in reserve; and Thiago Ponce, 19 years old (9/1/2005) and the same number of games in the second team .
