Soon Colo Colo could announce the first signing for the second half of 2024. The albos are very close to materializing the transfer of Javier Correa, forward of Estudiantes de la Plata.
The La Plata 1 portal, from Argentina, reported that talks are currently taking place in Santiago due to the arrival of the 31-year-old trans-Andean attacker. Negotiations began in the neighboring country and, as they progressed, they moved to the capital, indicating that they could conclude in the next few hours.
The Argentine media revealed the only obstacle that is holding back Correa’s signing for now. Discussions have spread over the form of payment for the striker.
Correa has a contract until the end of 2026 and the exit clause amounts to 1.8 million dollars. Both the player and the managers of Colo Colo do not intend to use this mechanism to end the contractual relationship.
The forward hopes to leave Estudiantes de la Plata on suitable terms. At the Monumental, for their part, they also aim to reduce the amount of money to be paid to have the Argentine striker.
