Everton de Viña del Mar is looking for reinforcements after being left without Luciano Cabral. According to information from En Cancha, and after exploring different options in the market, the management of the Viña del Mar team reached an agreement with Juan Delgado, who arrives free from England.
The Colo Colo player did not renew his contract with Sheffield Wednesday, a club in England’s Second Division that he defended last season. His priority was to return to Chile, and Everton won the dispute over his letter.
Everton secures coveted reinforcement
When Delgado began to consider options in the Chilean market, several teams appeared to be interested in his letter, mainly Coquimbo Unido and O’Higgins of Rancaguatwo teams that led the fight for the player, but lost out to Everton’s fleeting offer.
Delgado, who was trained as a winger, has been playing as a full-back or right-back for the last few seasons, so he will provide that alternative to Esteban Solari’s team.
