Franco Colapinto in Austria: day, time and where to watch the F2 races :: Olé

After last weekend in Spain, where the Formula 2 played the sixth date of the season, Franco Colapinto He put on his helmet and returned to action. In Barcelona he achieved a second place in the main raceand now, at the Red Bull Ring circuit in Spielberg, where the Austrian Grand Prixwill seek to remain in the top positions.

The activity started this Friday with the first practice and the qualifying, in which the MP Motorsport driver broke the record again. On Saturday the sprint race will take place at 8.30, and on Sunday will close with the main race starting at 5. All the activity can be seen live on Disney+ (former Star+).

The 21-year-old from Pilar returned to the podium in the last race, after a weekend in which he experienced ups and downs. First he achieved a great classification for Sunday: he came in 3rdbut later suffered a sprint to oblivion, in which he started badly and finished in 18th place. However, he remained at the top of the final and surpassed the position in which he started to occupy the second step of the celebration place.

Thanks to the 18 points obtained in Barcelona, Colapinto reached 56 units and equaled the mark of Dennis Hauger, his teammate in MP Motorsport, who was one of the four who failed to complete the race. However, The Argentine finished sixth in the table while the Norwegian is one step higher for having reached that score earlier.

His first victory of the season came in the Imola GP Sprintwhere he made a great move at the end with which he ended up celebrating his first and only victory to date in the F1 support category (which will also race in Austria this weekend). Now, Colapinto’s eyes will be set on a circuit that he already visited last year with Formula 3, where he finished 4th in the main race.
