Jano’s path to the definition of the Spanish competition began with a resounding victory against Alexander Shevchenko (58th), 6-3 and 6-2. Then, in the quarterfinals, he defeated one of the great promises of the circuit such as Jakub Mensik (85th), by a double 6-4. Finally, he defeated the ever-complex Gael Monfils (40th), 2-6, 6-2 and 7-6 (3).

For the South American, it will be the fourth ATP final of his career, the third in 2024, and he has one title so far (in Auckland 2024). The European, for his part, will have his first time in a match of this context. The history between the two is led 1-0 by Ofner, who won the 2023 Australian Open qualifying.
