Another race off the ideal pace for the Mexican driver of the Red Bull team

The Mexican Checo Pérez rmissed a point in the race Sprint of the Austrian Grand Prix held this weekend at the Red Bull Ring finishing in eighth position.

Sergio Perez He is not experiencing his best moment aboard the RB20, but, at least, he has begun to scratch the points zone and continues to add to the drivers’ world championship.

Pérez had a bad start and in just eight corners he lost the front position Charles Leclercwho quickly jumped from tenth to seventh place. In the fight between the two, it was the driver of Ferrari who stepped harder and came out better placed, so for Rindt he had put the lasso on the Red Bull.

The Guadalajara native once again lost his rhythm this Saturday, as he went from a difference of 0.4 tenths to 2.4 seconds. He just watched as his rivals began to pull away.

Sergio was one second per lap slower than Max Verstappenso it was impossible for him to catch Leclerc’s DRS and the difference between the two failed to reduce as the race progressed.

For round 16 of the 23 agreed upon, Czech Perez was turning 4 tenths slower than the pilot Ferrariwho was marching comfortably in the position and also could not catch up Lewis Hamilton.

The Mexican never found rhythm, nor the perfect set-up to face Charles Leclerc. With three laps remaining the driver Red Bull was 4 seconds behind.

In the last lap everything was decided, Checo had to settle for a bitter eighth place, while his rivals in the runner-up fight added more points and moved away on the counter.
