The next series of desktop processors Intel Core Ultra 200 Arrow Lake-S It would have about 6 models at its launch, among which would be the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K and Core Ultra 5 245K.

Intel Core Ultra 200: The first 6 models are filtered at launch

We have more information about the processor series Arrow Lake-S. This time, the number of models that would be at launch and the names of six of them would have been leaked.

Information comes from hardware filter @OneRaichuwhich has mentioned 6 models:

  • Core Ultra 9 285K
  • Core Ultra 7 265K
  • Core Ultra 5 245K
  • Core Ultra 9 275
  • Core Ultra 7 255
  • Core Ultra 5 240

The new nomenclature follows in the wake of what we have seen in the series Core Ultra 100 for the laptop segment. Intel would have named the desktop processor series as Core Ultra 200 to differentiate itself well from those laptop CPUs, which also have a different architecture (Meteor Lake).

In addition to the new nomenclature, which will take some getting used to, we see that Intel continues to differentiate those processors that are enabled for overclocking from those that come with this function blocked, the classic “K” and “non-K” models.

This series should offer a maximum of 24 cores (Core Ultra 9 285K) without the ability to Hyper-Threading which has been accompanying the Core series for many years.

We recommend our guide on the best processors on the market

A launch with 6 models should be enough to satisfy user demand at launch, but more models will arrive over the months after launch, such as the inevitable Core Ultra 3 models for the entry range.

At the moment, it is speculated that the Core Ultra 9 285K will offer a total of 24 cores and 24 threads, the Core Ultra 7 265K about 20 cores and 20 threads, and the Core Ultra 5 245K about 14 cores and 14 threads.

We recently learned about other models, the Core Ultra 5 240F, which could come with two different matrices, 8+16 or 6+8. Both P-Core and E-Core core configurations would be the basis for Intel to manufacture the entire series. The Core Ultra 5 240F would be another of the processors with 14 cores and 14 threads.

The Arrow Lake-S series for desktop PCs will combine the Lion Cove (P-Core) and Skymont (E-Core) cores.

Intel plans a launch in the second half of the year with the arrival of a new LGA 1851 socket, which will be supported until 2026. We will keep you informed.
