Apex Legends prepares for season 21 with exciting renewals. Electronic Arts announced the update Apex Legends: Upheaval which will arrive on May 7th introducing Alter, a new legend, along with the return of Solos mode and various modifications to the map.

Coming from another dimension, this new character has Void Passage as an active ability, which allows his team to pass through walls and ceilings through portals. His passive ability, Gift From the Rift, makes it easy for him to pass through walls at a distance and loot items from enemy boxes.

Finally, in his ultimate ability, Void Nexus, Alter creates a return point that makes it possible to regroup with his companions. However, enemies can also interact with it and gain advantage.

Additionally, solo games return this season, replacing the Duos mode. Users must now fend for themselves and be the last one standing, but with new options such as automatic health regeneration and warning of nearby enemies, among other mechanics. This mode will be available until June 24.

As for the setting, Broken Moon Shatters will also undergo changes. This includes new points of interest to the map and the implementation of an ecosystem of alien flora and fauna. In turn, the Devotion and Evo-8 weapons replaced Wingman in the care packpage and they swung to legends Crypto and Newcastle.

Beyond a large amount of content for this new season, Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts announced that they are evaluating different measures to detect and restrict users who cheat in the game, a situation that is becoming increasingly common.
