We have excellent news for all those who own a Smart TV from the Korean brand LG, especially those who are users of the Apple Music service, since they will now be able to take advantage of a feature dedicated to surround audio.
This is Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos, a feature that is present in the Apple Music music service and that until now had been maintained exclusively in the apple company’s devices.
Well, today the South Korean company LG has announced that its smart televisions from 2018 and later will now be able to enjoy Apple Music with Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos.
This way, if you have a model compatible with Dolby Atmos, or have an external device connected to your TV compatible with Dolby Atmos (or Dolby Digital 5.1), such as a sound bar or a home theateryou can listen to your favorite music in a totally immersive way.
It should be clarified that, if you will use an external device compatible with Dolby Atmos (or Dolby Digital 5.1), it is NOT necessary that your LG TV is also compatible.
But that’s not all, dear reader, since, if you have AirPods compatible with Spatial Audio, you can connect them to your LG Smart TV via Bluetooth and also enjoy this surround audio feature.
Songs that are available in this format will be highlighted with the “Dolby Atmos” logo. In addition, Apple Music has several playlists where there is only music in that format.
