Samsung would have canceled plans to launch a cheap Galaxy Z Fold 6 this year

Samsung will not be left out this year in terms of launches, but the supposedly cheap Galaxy Z Fold 6 will not be one of them, as it would have been cancelled. All this comes after months where we had seen rumors about its potential launch in 2024.

The cheap Galaxy Z Fold 6, canceled

As reported in Korea’s The Elec, Samsung is currently reviewing its plans to launch a cheaper Galaxy Z Fold 6. This would have led, then, to its definitive cancellation. The lack of product differentiation factors and uncertainty in the business situation are believed to be the reasons why the Galaxy manufacturer could cancel the device.

This agrees with the latest report from insider Revegnus. In his latest X post, the leaker reiterates that the cheaper Galaxy Z Fold 6 would have been definitively canceled. Instead, plans for a cheap Samsung foldable would have been postponed to 2025.

Of course, the chosen one would not be a cheap Galaxy Z Fold 7, but rather a low-cost Galaxy Z Flip 7, which could be presented in 2025. To achieve this, of course, we still have a long way to go, so the most prudent thing to do is wait.

In this way, a potential phone abandons what could have been its presentation in July, the month where the next Galaxy Unpacked will be held.
