Duplicate your voice with artificial intelligence to answer calls that you simply do not want to answer will now be possible courtesy of the application truecaller.

After closing an agreement with Microsoftto make use of technology Azure AI Speech which allows you to create personalized voices through artificial intelligence. The smartphone application – which has features such as call identification and blocking – will offer a premium service which will only require an audio recording to generate voice duplication.

Broadly speaking, this new AI alternative will require a paid subscription to Truecaller, as it will use the premium assistant system that provides an additional layer of defense against spam calls.

“By integrating the personal voice capability of Microsoft Azure AI Speech into Truecaller, we have taken an important step towards delivering a truly personalized and engaging communication experience,” explained Raphael Mimoun, General Manager of Truecaller. “This innovative capability not only adds a touch of familiarity and convenience for users, but also shows the power of AI to transform the way we interact with our digital assistants.”

Truecaller will only allow the use of Azure AI Speech through its assistant system, as this will prevent voice duplication from being misused.

This option will initially only be available in United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, India, Sweden and Chile, but Truecaller hopes to expand it to other areas of the world. Of course, those that do not put barriers for this type of use for an AI.
