According to a new report, Samsung is exclusively sourcing Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets for its next-generation flagships. Meanwhile, leaked cases appear to show the final designs of two devices, which are expected to arrive this summer as the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 (currently $849.99 on Amazon) brought a new design to its series, arguably more so than the Galaxy Z Fold5. According to the latest rumors, Samsung is still about two months away from launching the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6. However, the case designs have already been leaked on the Internet.

As Roland Quandt points out, these case designs come from a conventional third-party case manufacturer and “not some AliExpress brand.” Please note that these case designs have not been created from official rendered images. Therefore, smaller details that would not affect the design of the case have not been included in the images below. In short, the Galaxy Z Flip6 looks a lot like its predecessor. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Fold6 has slightly wider screens than the comparatively slim Galaxy Z Fold5.

Meanwhile, The Elec reports that Samsung will not employ a dual chipset strategy for its sixth-generation foldables, as previous rumors claimed. Instead, the South Korean media claims that Samsung will only source Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipsets, even in regions where the Exynos 2400 is offered for the Galaxy S24 series. Apparently, the decision is due to the fact that the Galaxy Z terminals do not sell as many units as their Galaxy S counterparts. Consequently, there is not enough room for Samsung to justify the development of two variants Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6.
