Spotify and a second price increase of the year in the United States
As announced by Spotify, the company is increasing the prices of Spotify Premium for the Individual, Duo and Family plans. Thus, Spotify Premium in the US will now cost USD $11.99 per month instead of USD $10.99. For its part, Spotify Duo will cost USD $16.99 per month instead of USD $14.99. Finally, Spotify Family will now cost $19.99 per month instead of $16.99.
New subscribers in the US will receive the price increase immediately, and existing subscribers in the US will receive an email within the next month explaining the new prices.
This second price increase does not have any additional benefits. Users will have to continue waiting for Spotify Hi-Fi to arrive, which does not seem to have a defined date yet. Spotify refers to saying that it will arrive “soon”, but there is no news yet.
