The Solidarity and Social Investment Fund, FOSIS, and Microsoft Chile They came together to announce the opening of course registrations: “Professional foundations of artificial intelligence”which will address the role of this technology and the opportunities it offers in the world of work and entrepreneurship.

The announcement was made by the national director of FOSIS, Nicolás Navarrete Hernández and the director of Technology and Innovation of Microsoft Chile, María Francisca Yáñez Castilloin activity with entrepreneurs supported by FOSIS where the scope of the training was explained.

This workshop will allow them to position their businesses, with artificial intelligence tools, increase their income and reduce the digital divide.”

The director of the Service added the importance of updating in terms of Artificial Intelligence: “We are experiencing a change of era, where artificial intelligence puts us in the urgency of learning and training in digital skills. At the same time, we see that both entrepreneurs and SMEs are the engine of the national economy and that technology supports them, boosting their income, their family economy and supporting innovation.”

For her part, María Francisca Yáñez, director of Technology and Innovation at Microsoft Chilehighlighted that “Today we had an introductory workshop to the course in alliance with FOSIS, in which we learned that artificial intelligence is not only for large companies, but for all people, whether personally, at work, and also in the workplace.” development of our businesses. One of the participants in the talk, the artisan Andrés Novoa, owner of the Artifara Pedidos store, explained the importance of acquiring this new knowledge: “Artificial intelligence is a very powerful tool, which we have to learn to use, because it gives you free and quick-to-use resources. It serves as a guide and I think having the access and education to use it serves to boost entrepreneurship. For example, how to make a logo, a slogan or digital marketing text.”

The course considers, among other things, learning the Microsoft 365 Copilot platform that seeks to enhance creativity, using Microsoft 365 applications, such as Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook, as well as teaching the ethical limits that exist when it comes to the use of this tool, to give it the correct use to, for example, sell or advertise a certain product.

Applications will be open until June 12 at www.fosis.gob.cl. The requirements to register are to be over 18 years old, have time available to train and have a mobile device or a computer with an internet connection to attend classes.
