Xiaomi has introduced a new affordable option to its POCO series of smartphones. Available for purchase in a few days, the device will start at just $129 and feature a more than 5,000 mAh battery, a 108 MP camera, and a new MediaTek chipset.
Xiaomi has now introduced the POCO M6 4G, which it intends to sell globally only as POCO M6. For context, the POCO M6 is the fourth device in the POCO M6 series launched so far after the POCO M6 5G, POCO M6 Pro 4G (currently $192.50 on Amazon), and the POCO M6 Pro 5G. However, there are also strong indications that suggest that the company has also developed a POCO M6 Plus 5G.
In short, the POCO M6 4G is the new Redmi 13 4G with another name. Thus, the first is a budget option with a 108 MP main camera, a 1080p screen and a 5,030 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging. For reference, the 108 MP sensor has a 1/4″ optical format. 1.67 inches that offers 9-in-1 pixel binning up to 12 MP and is said to provide 3x lossless zoom. In addition, Xiaomi includes a 2 MP macro camera and a 13 MP front camera that can record videos at up to 1080p and 30 FPS.
Meanwhile, the IPS display measures 6.79 inches with a 90Hz refresh rate, 1,500:1 contrast ratio, and a maximum brightness of 550 HBM nits. Additionally, the POCO M6 4G is powered by a MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset and up to 8GB of RAM, just like the Redmi 13 4G. The Redmi 13 can be ordered worldwide starting June 11 with a pre-sale price that will last until June 17. According to Xiaomi, the POCO M6 4G will initially be available for the following prices:
- 6GB RAM/128GB storage – $129/£129 (€159 MSRP)
- 8GB RAM/256GB storage – $149/£149 (€179 MSRP)
